Email Forwarding
Forward newsletters, articles, and any email to your personal Runa address. They get saved as searchable items in your inbox with AI summaries and auto-tagging.

Getting Started

Go to Settings in your Runa dashboard.

Find the Email Forwarding section. Your unique forwarding address will be displayed — something like
brave-cardinal-penguin@mail.onruna.com. - 3
Copy the address using the copy button.

Forward any email to that address. It will appear in your Runa inbox within seconds, complete with AI summary and tags.
Auto-forward from Gmail
Set up Gmail filters to automatically forward newsletters to Runa so you never have to do it manually.
1. Add your Runa address as a forwarding address
- Open Gmail and go to Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
- Click Add a forwarding address and paste your Runa address.
- Gmail will send a confirmation email to your Runa inbox. Open it there and click the confirmation link, or copy the confirmation code back into Gmail.
- Keep Disable forwarding selected — you only want specific emails forwarded via filters, not everything.
2. Create filters for auto-forwarding
- In Gmail, click the search bar filter icon or go to Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses.
- In the From field, enter the sender addresses you want to forward. Use
ORto combine multiple senders, e.g.newsletter@example.com OR digest@another.com. - Click Create filter, then check Forward it to and select your Runa address.
- Optionally check Skip the Inbox (Archive it) to keep your Gmail clean.
- Check Also apply filter to matching conversations to forward past emails too.
What gets saved
- The full email text is stored and searchable.
- Attachments (images, PDFs) are uploaded and linked to the item.
- AI generates a summary and auto-tags each email.
- The sender address is saved for filtering.
Tips
- Save your Runa address as a contact on your phone for quick manual forwarding.
- Works with any email provider — Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Fastmail, etc. Just set up forwarding rules in your provider.
- Each email uses one AI enrichment credit for summary and tagging.
