Forward newsletters, articles, and any email to your personal Runa address. They get saved as searchable items in your inbox with AI summaries and auto-tagging.

Pro plan feature

Getting Started

  1. 1

Go to Settings in your Runa dashboard.

  2. 2

Find the Email Forwarding section. Your unique forwarding address will be displayed — something like brave-cardinal-penguin@mail.onruna.com.

  3. 3

Copy the address using the copy button.

  4. 4

Forward any email to that address. It will appear in your Runa inbox within seconds, complete with AI summary and tags.

Auto-forward from Gmail

Set up Gmail filters to automatically forward newsletters to Runa so you never have to do it manually.

1. Add your Runa address as a forwarding address

  1. Open Gmail and go to Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  2. Click Add a forwarding address and paste your Runa address.
  3. Gmail will send a confirmation email to your Runa inbox. Open it there and click the confirmation link, or copy the confirmation code back into Gmail.
  4. Keep Disable forwarding selected — you only want specific emails forwarded via filters, not everything.

2. Create filters for auto-forwarding

  1. In Gmail, click the search bar filter icon or go to Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses.
  2. In the From field, enter the sender addresses you want to forward. Use OR to combine multiple senders, e.g. newsletter@example.com OR digest@another.com.
  3. Click Create filter, then check Forward it to and select your Runa address.
  4. Optionally check Skip the Inbox (Archive it) to keep your Gmail clean.
  5. Check Also apply filter to matching conversations to forward past emails too.

What gets saved

  • The full email text is stored and searchable.
  • Attachments (images, PDFs) are uploaded and linked to the item.
  • AI generates a summary and auto-tags each email.
  • The sender address is saved for filtering.

Tips

  • Save your Runa address as a contact on your phone for quick manual forwarding.
  • Works with any email provider — Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Fastmail, etc. Just set up forwarding rules in your provider.
  • Each email uses one AI enrichment credit for summary and tagging.
