NSFW Mode

When you save from many sources — X bookmarks, email forwards, Reddit threads — some content may be NSFW. Runa automatically detects and filters it so your workspace stays clean.

How it works

NSFW mode is a three-state filter that controls whether flagged content appears in your inbox and archive.

Off

NSFW items are hidden from your inbox and archive.

Default

Allow

All items are shown, including NSFW.

Shift + .

Only

Only NSFW items are shown. Useful for reviewing flagged content separately.

Shift + . again

Toggling NSFW mode

Press Shift + . to cycle through the three states. A toast notification confirms the current mode.

The setting persists across sessions. The Off and Allow states are saved to your account. Only is a client-side filter that resets when you leave the page.

Automatic NSFW detection

Runa flags NSFW content automatically as it comes in, so you don't have to sort it yourself:

  • Reddit links— detected via Reddit's own over_18 flag.

Flagged items are filtered out of your workspace by default. They're still saved — just hidden until you choose to view them.

Privacy

  • NSFW mode state is stored in your account settings — only you can see or toggle it.
  • There is no visible UI toggle. It's keyboard-only (Shift + .), so it won't appear on screen.

Availability

NSFW mode toggling and filtering is available on all plans.
